law of the Spirit
Definition
The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus (Rom. 8:2) makes free from the law of sin and death. According to Watchman Nee, this is the basis for the victorious life — not human effort, but the Spirit working in the believer.

Watchman Nee / Witness Lee
In The Life That Wins (b8), Nee explicitly links the law of the Spirit to victory:
“The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.” (Rom. 8:2, The Life That Wins, p. 28)
“All things pertaining to the Holy Spirit are obtained. So that all which is related to victory must be received.” (The Life That Wins, p. 44)
“Being under law signifies God requiring man to work for Him. What, then, is being under grace? It denotes God working for man. (…) But if God works for us, sin shall not have dominion over us.” (The Life That Wins, p. 28)
Interpretation: The law of the Spirit is the divine counterpart to the law of sin — where the law of sin is a constant habit of failure, the law of the Spirit brings constant victory.
